Work has slowed on the dinghy at the moment. But managed to glass all the end-grain of the plywood stern knee. Also filled the internal doublers on the transom to seal thye end-grain and shed water.
Involved with design work and Moerangi refit.

This boat is a Logan launched in 1901, so 112 years old. This is the 3 skin system that was pioneered by the Logan Bros. It is 2 diagonals skins of 3/8" and fore and aft planked with 3/4" All Kauri of course and on 4 of 8" by 3" stringers fore and aft.

Took a trip up north the other day with a trailer to pick up some heart KAURI a softwood prime boatbuilding timber. Marcus needed some for a repair to his round-bilged Spencer, which is 2 skins.
These planks are left over from a build and are 150 (6in) wide and milled to 6mm (1/4in) and 4.5m long say 14ft.He is very lucky!
